OTIS needs to incorporate a multi-disciplinary Senior Engineer with strong expertise in machining processes and advanced knowledge of industrial process automation. This role is intended to strengthen our technical team by bringing leadership, expert knowledge, and continuous improvement capabilities in advanced manufacturing environments.

The main functions will be the implementation of process improvements projects, to reduce the cost in different areas, like assembly lines, machining lines (machining center, turning & grinding machines). Identifying opportunities using lean manufacturing concepts of removing non-value added operations, automation of processes, load & unload operations, workshop logistics improvement, OEE improvement through Preventive Maintenance, workflow designing, cell design, new product industrialization, material presentation & organization, logistics support and others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and optimize machining processes on CNC centers, lathes, and grinding machines.
  • Lead automation projects for part loading/unloading and handling.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve process efficiency and quality.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and automation solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mechanical Engineer.
  • Previous experience in robotic system integration.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and process simulation.
  • Strong leadership and technical team management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
  • Problem Solving and Analytical thinking.
  • Cost Analysis and Data Management.
  • Risk management processes and analysis.
  • Standard Work & Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Business PLM (Product Life Management).
  • Office: Familiar with communications software, M365 (Excel, P.Point, Word, Access, SharePoint, Power Automate ...).
  • Engineering: CNC programing, Creo, computer programing, Python, Java, C++.
  • English: B2 engineering documents, working instructions, testing reports & conferences with foreign teams.
