Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Field Production Engineer to lead daily oil and gas production operations in Mérida. You will monitor performance, manage equipment and apply artificial lift strategies to maximize recovery while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in field production, hands-on with ESPs, rod pumps, and gas lift, and strong knowledge of reservoir principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of field oil and gas production operation experience.
• Hands-on with ESPs, rod pumps and gas lift systems.
• Strong knowledge of reservoir principles and well performance analysis.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in hydrocarbons.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ingeniero de Producción Field to join their operational team based in Mérida, Yucatán . This hands-on role is critical for overseeing and optimizing the daily production activities of oil and gas wells. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and safe operations, troubleshoot field issues, and implement strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery. This is an excellent opportunity for a field-oriented engineer to apply their technical expertise in a dynamic operational environment within the hidrocarburos sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing daily oil and gas production operations at the field level.
• Monitoring well performance, equipment status, and production rates.
• Implementing artificial lift techniques and optimizing their performance.
