Contemporary Star Energy, located near Zaragoza, Spain, seeks a Project Quality Engineer to ensure production processes meet quality standards and to drive a culture of disciplined, data-driven quality across manufacturing lines.

You will lead quality activities across GP12 launch, customer audits, and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, R&D, and supply chain to prevent defects and resolve systemic issues.

Formación

• Experience ensuring production processes meet quality standards.
• Knowledge of core quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP).
• Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsabilidades

• Plan GP12 during project launch and ensure alignment with the project team.
• Follow up and close the loop on project quality issues.
• Plan and organize customer audits and visits; manage audit non-conformities.
• Serve as customer interface for quality complaints and oversee full closed-loop management.
• Identify root causes with internal teams and define effective corrective actions.
• Communicate with customers clearly, professionally, and in a timely manner.

Contemporary Star Energy is a joint venture created by Stellantis and CATL to advance affordable and sustainable electric mobility in Europe. Bringing together global automotive leadership and next-generation battery innovation, we lead the evolution of cleaner and smarter mobility. Our large-scale, carbon-neutral battery manufacturing project contributes to the European electrification ecosystem and supports the regional supply chain for battery production.

Strategically located next to the Stellantis Plant in Zaragoza, Spain, the Gigafactory will produce next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries with a capacity of up to 50 GWh.

We are looking for a Project Quality Engineer who will ensure that production processes consistently meet quality standards by driving process stability, developing operator capability, and leading the organization in preventing defects, resolving systemic issues, and embedding a culture of disciplined, data‑driven quality across the manufacturing lines.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Responsible for GP12 planning and implementation during project launch.
• Follow up and ensure closed-loop resolution of project quality issues.
• Plan and organize customer audits and visits, and manage closed-loop follow-up of audit non‑conformities.
• Serve as the customer interface for quality complaints and oversee full closed-loop management.
• Align quickly with internal departments to identify the root cause of customer complaints and define effective corrective actions.
• Communicate with the customer in a clear, professional, and timely manner.

Your profile and qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of core quality tools, including SPC, MSA, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
• Proficient in analytical methodologies such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CPK.
• Skilled in statistical analysis software, including MINITAB and JMP.
• Capable of independently performing process capability analysis, variation identification, failure risk assessment, root cause analysis, and improvement of quality abnormalities.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Excellent cross‑department communication and coordination skills; able to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams.
