Job Opportunity: Process Design Engineer at Ayesa

We are looking to expand our team with a Process Design Engineer specializing in the design of industrial plant processes, with experience in the biotechnology, food, and/or chemical sectors, based in our Barcelona offices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Define project design bases.
2. Develop process diagrams (PFDs and P&IDs).
3. Perform material and energy balances, auxiliary service consumptions.
4. Describe processes.
5. Conduct process simulations.
6. Create equipment lists.
7. Prepare line, manual valve, and accessory lists.
8. Calculate and specify equipment (static, rotating, heat exchangers).
9. Compile process data sheets, including elements requiring calculations (control valves, safety valves, orifice plates, rupture disks, etc.).
10. Write functional descriptions and operation manuals.
11. Coordinate and request necessary information from other disciplines.
12. Lead technical communication with clients in your area of expertise.
13. Identify and communicate technical, organizational, and human resource improvement points to superiors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in biotechnology and/or food sector projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced level).
• Experience with process simulation software (ASPEN HYSYS, ASPEN PLUS).
• Experience in thermal design of heat exchangers (EDR, HTRI).
