We offer the opportunity to be involved in the design and manufacturing process of cutting-edge industrial continuous process installations. At Órbita Ingeniería, we develop turnkey solutions for leading companies in sectors such as automotive, food and beverages, cosmetics, industrial and consumer chemicals, and winemaking, making each project a unique challenge.

If you have at least three years of experience developing and designing equipment, installations, and plants related to continuous processes, mainly within the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical industries, this opportunity might interest you.

Órbita, a leading engineering company, is looking to hire a mechanical or chemical engineer to join our development team at our Alcàsser headquarters.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Generating equipment specifications for validation and procurement of industrial equipment.
  2. Dimensioning and validating installations through theoretical calculations.
  3. Creating and validating detailed construction plans for manufacturing.
  4. Generating procurement lists.
  5. Monitoring and validating purchases, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  6. Preparing documentation according to quality standards.

You will be responsible within the team (mechanical, electrical, and programming) for the technical coordination of assigned projects, as well as the fabrication and integration of designed installations.

Minimum requirements include:
  • Experience in designing industrial equipment related to continuous process industries (tanks, reactors, skids, platforms, hoppers).
  • Calculation of fluid and solid transport installations (pressure losses, mass balances, time studies, heat transfer, mixing, and agitation).
  • Design and sizing of pneumatic installations.
  • Knowledge of equipment and processes related to food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries.
  • Understanding of process diagrams and P&ID.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of 3D design applications (Inventor, AutoCAD Plant3D) is a plus.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • High motivation and flexibility to expand knowledge in industrial environments.
  • Availability for travel to clients.
