Overview

Job Title: High Availability System Administrator

About the Role:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum system availability for electronic trading platforms.
• They will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage operational systems and infrastructure.
• Responsibilities will include monitoring, maintaining, and supporting underlying Linux, hypervisor, and storage infrastructure.
• Request handling and query management will also fall under their remit, requiring excellent communication skills.
• Operational guidelines will need to be developed and maintained to support current infrastructure.
• Planning and implementing major projects focused around infrastructure architecture will also be a key aspect of this role.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in managing systems infrastructure is essential.
• Strong proficiency in Linux, including Bash, is required.
• A solid understanding of data structures & algorithms, e.g. patterns and RESTful APIs, is necessary.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, Puppet, and automation tools is highly desirable.
• Good network knowledge, e.g. protocols, is also required.
