Job Title: IT Project Manager
This is a temporary position starting on June 2nd, 2025, with a seven-month contract. We are also open to contractor (freelance) arrangements, depending on the candidate’s profile and availability. The role is office-based in Málaga, with a hybrid working model (2 days per week in the office).
Responsibilities:
- Manage a range of IT projects from inception to deployment and operational handover, including Data Centre Technology transformation, Security, Infrastructure, and Corporate initiatives.
- Contribute to company-wide programs, representing and coordinating tasks for the CIO function.
- Work with stakeholders across different time zones and technical backgrounds, demonstrating high organizational and planning skills.
- Lead project planning, including objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Gather requirements and establish project plans, milestones, and risk management strategies.
- Manage resources, track tasks, and motivate project teams with effective leadership.
- Prepare and disseminate project documentation such as Project Charters, Plans, and Status Reports.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring deliverables meet acceptance criteria.
- Review and test deliverables to ensure they are fit for purpose and supportable.
- Capture lessons learned and produce benefits realization plans.
- Serve as mediator for internal issues and conflicting priorities within cross-functional teams.
- Report weekly on project progress, risks, and issues, managing stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with other project managers to deliver broader programs of work.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with complex projects and program delivery, including DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience with risk, issue, resource, and dependency management.
- Proven experience across various IT platforms, both On-premise and Cloud, including high-availability and high-transaction environments.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of IT concepts such as networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies; ITIL knowledge is highly recommended.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, reporting to a Programme Manager.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Nice to have: experience with public cloud providers.
- Fluent in English.
- Project Management certification (PMI, Prince2, ITIL) is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
