Role :

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong consultancy skills to support and lead strategic projects in labs across our R&D and manufacturing plants. This role includes managing the following critical initiatives :

1. RFP for a holistic Quality Assurance (QA) platform.
2. RFP for a Scientific Data Cloud solution (e.g., Tetrascience), including vendor evaluation and selection.
3. Upgrade of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or related discipline in life science (chemistry, biology).

Key Responsibilities :

1. Design and manage the RFP processes for the QA platform and Scientific Data Cloud solution.
2. Define business requirements, develop evaluation criteria, and facilitate vendor selection.
3. Engage with vendors through workshops, proposals, and technical discussions.
4. Oversee the planning and execution of the LIMS upgrade project, ensuring minimal disruption to lab operations.
5. Manage system enhancements, testing, validation, and deployment phases.
6. Coordinate with stakeholders to align upgrades with lab requirements and compliance standards.
7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
8. Develop detailed project plans, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.
9. Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
10. Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations.
11. Ensure alignment of all projects with business objectives and regulatory compliance.
12. Deliver clear and actionable insights to support decision-making processes.

Candidate Profile :

1. Experience : Extensive experience in project management within R&D or Manufacturing labs preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven track record of leading RFPs for IT solutions and overseeing LIMS upgrades.
2. Skills : Strong consultancy skills with the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders. Excellent project management capabilities, including planning, coordination, and execution. Familiarity with lab systems (e.g., LIMS, ELN, CDS), QA workflows, and data management solutions.
3. Knowledge : In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, including GxP standards. Expertise in vendor evaluation, system validation, and deployment processes.
4. Soft Skills : Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities. Adept at managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in fast-paced environments. Ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Ability to coordinate with different teams in different locations. Expert in challenging, convincing, and managing the diverse stakeholders’ sensitivities. Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role. Capability to think strategically. Conflict resolution and problem solving. Additional Information :

1. Project Scope : Leading RFP for a QA platform hosting various quality processes such as QMS (Deviation, Complaint, Audit, investigation), DMS (document management), validation management process and learning management process. In addition, lead RFP of Scientific Data Cloud solution.
2. Managing the LIMS upgrade project and other lab-focused IT initiatives.

Duration : A couple of years (100% dedication) with the possibility to extend it.

Location : Barcelona (client's site).
