Airbus Operations in Getafe (Madrid) seeks an Industrial System Engineer to join the ME - Transversal Team. You will design and optimize industrial systems, develop line flow simulations and digital twins, and collaborate across Maintenance, Operations, and central teams to improve performance.

The role requires hands-on expertise in 3D environments, data analysis, and strong English skills. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are available at the Getafe plant.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering preferred in automated/aerospace settings.

Industrial System Engineer – Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid)

An opportunity for an Industrial System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the ME - Transversal Team, a key part of the Manufacturing Engineering organization at the Airbus Getafe Plant. Our vision is clear: "to secure the industrial system today and to create the sustainable industrial solution of the future." The Getafe Plant is a center of excellence specializing in the structural assembly and equipping of Horizontal Tail Planes (HTPs) for the A320, A330, and A350 families, as well as the S19 section for the A350, utilizing advanced automated and robotic methods and dry carbon fiber manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct Industrial System Design and Modelling projects from initial concept to deployment, optimizing flows and ensuring the best industrial footprint for plant activities.
• Develop and manage Industrial Line Flow Simulations and Digital Twins using advanced 3D software (e.g., 3DExperience) to anticipate, replicate, and optimize assembly line behavior.
• Analyze and optimize the industrial performance of current and future manufacturing lines through time-value calculations, standard line balancing, and Value Stream Analysis deployment.
• Drive the Machine Connectivity strategy at the plant level, collaborating closely with Maintenance, Operations, and central teams to define strategies, secure budgets, and improve machine availability.
• Support and deploy Data Analytics projects and innovation technologies, managing data to enable predictive decision-making, pattern detection, and early breakdown warnings.
• Collaborate with Industrial Architects and multidisciplinary teams to translate conceptual workflows into real shopfloor realities, factoring in surfaces, logistics, lead times, and station-level ergonomics.

• Education: University Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Aeronautical, or a related discipline).
• Experience: Proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably within complex industrial, automated, or aerospace environments.
• Soft skills: High passion, energy, and motivation for continuous improvement. Strong teamwork spirit, creativity, integrity, reliability, and the leadership potential to manage transversal projects.
• Languages: Negotiation level in English is a must. Capitalization of another European language is valuable.
• Technical knowledge: Strong proficiency in 3D environments (such as 3DExperience) for layouts, line simulation, and logistics analysis. Knowledge of flow simulation methodologies and data management.
• Valuable / Nice to have: Knowledge of AnyLogic software is a strong plus. Experience in digital twin deployment, machine connectivity (IoT), or advanced data analytics.
