Airbus Operations SL in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering Team, driving industrial design, standardizing manufacturing processes, and supporting shop floor execution. You will collaborate across Engineering, Supply Chain and Shop Floor Operations to define routings, BoMs and SOIs while managing PFMEA, safety, and process capability.

Formación

• Engineering degree in Aeronautical/Industrial/Manufacturing fields.
• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or production environment, preferably aerospace.
• Fluency in English; Spanish value added.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to define build processes and tooling.
• Create routings, As-Prepared BoMs, and SOIs; manage Delta 2 configuration and sequencing.
• Perform standard time calculations and drive shop floor improvements and CAPEX planning.
• Conduct PFMEA/FMEA risk analyses and support safety and quality initiatives.
• Interface with Production, Maintenance and Supply Chain to resolve issues and MRP impacts.
• Support industrialization and modification assessments with IA, ISE, and TDE teams.

Job Description

An opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Manufacturing Engineering Team, playing a key role in driving industrial design, standardizing manufacturing processes, and supporting shop floor execution. The team works in a multicultural, cross-functional environment to ensure safe, robust, and efficient production processes while bridging the gap between Engineering, Supply Chain, and Shop Floor Operations.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Design & Co-Design: Collaborate with Engineering and Supply Chain to introduce manufacturing best practices, define build processes, and specify industrial assets, jigs, and tooling requirements.
• Work Preparation & Documentation: Create and update routings, As-Prepared BoMs, and Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) while managing Delta 2 configuration management and technical sequencing.
• Process Optimization & Time Management: Calculate standard time values, perform Standard Work, and drive shop floor continuous improvement and CAPEX planning.
• Quality & Risk Assurance: Execute PFMEA/FMEA risk analyses, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and participate in Quality Control Boards to secure process capability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface directly with Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve escalated work prep issues and manage missing parts or MRP impacts.
• Industrialization & Modification Support: Drive the 1st installation implementation, run feedback loops, and evaluate industrial impacts of design modifications with IA, ISE, and TDE teams.

Skills

• Education: Aeronautical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Previous experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Work Preparation, or Production Environment within the aerospace or industrial sector.
• Soft skills: Strong communication skills, high adaptability to work in cross-functional international teams, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Languages: Advanced level in English (Spanish is highly valued).
• Technical knowledge: Strong knowledge of SAP, CATIA, Airbus Process Specifications (AIPS/AIPI), PFMEA methodology, and configuration management.
• Valuable / Nice to have: Familiarity with Airbus commercial referentials (A2853.3, A2019.1), Lean Manufacturing, or CAPEX planning.
