Thales in Madrid is looking for an Industrial Planner & Trade Compliance Officer to manage customs procedures, ensure compliance with export regulations, and coordinate production and maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree and possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in related fields.

This role requires advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, along with strong organizational skills and proactive attitude. Thales offers a flexible working environment, including remote work options and various employee benefits.

Main Responsibilities

• Industrial Planner & Trade Compliance Officer, you will have been assigned the following main tasks:
• Planning, coordination and control of industrial production and maintenance strategies.
• Management and execution of customs procedures for product dispatches.
• Handling export licenses requests and tariff classification of materials.
• Liaison with tax agency regarding Intrastat filings and other compliance requirements.
• Preparation of certificates of origin and export control documentation (EUC, CUD, CII, DUD, etc.).
• Ensuring compliance with legislation related to export of defense and dual-use materials.
• Process automation and continuous improvement in planning and trade compliance workflows.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support production and logistics operations.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Industrial Organization Engineering or Technical Higher Education in Production Organization and Control with specialization in production planning and logistics.
• Advanced level of English and Spanish (C1 or higher). French is desirable.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in production planning, trade compliance, import/export control and customs procedures.

Competences

Technical/functional skills:

• Knowledge and experience in customs processing, export licensing, tariff classification and Intrastat management.
• Expertise in export control legislation, including defense and dual-use goods regulations.
• Experience with documentation management for export control licenses (EUC, CUD, CII, DUD, etc.).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and process automation techniques (Oracle or others).
• Planning and strategy development in production and maintenance environments.

Behavioral skills:

• Strong planning and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and good interpersonal skills.
