INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (F/M/X)

What is the purpose of this position? What is the expected outcome?

At the Economic and Financial Directorate of ITP Aero, we are looking for someone to fill the position of Operations Controlling in Zamudio. We are therefore considering someone with experience in an Operational Unit of a large industrial group and a clear financial vocation, or someone from a finance department with motivation to work in Operations.

What profile are we looking for?

  • Education: Finance or Engineering background with financial knowledge
  • Required experience: 2 to 3 years in cost calculation
  • Languages: High level of spoken and written English (preferably with a C1 certification)
  • Personal skills:

    • Eagerness to learn, enthusiasm, motivation, capability, and commitment

What tasks will you perform?

You will support the Business Unit managers in the economic management of their activities and decision-making. Main responsibilities include:

  • Measuring the financial impact of operational decisions on both results and cash flow, as well as properly assessing the economic risks and opportunities involved.
  • Supporting the preparation and monitoring of the Budget and Forecast Closures, ensuring they reflect the economic reality of the area in terms of both P&L and cash. Monitoring compliance and analyzing deviations.
  • Daily management support. Monitoring deviations in Work Orders (Materials, Added Value, Cutting Tools, etc.), corrective measures, and action plans.
  • Analyzing and monitoring unit costs and Overheads, deviations, corrective measures, and action plans.
  • Supporting Change Control and Source Change Committees in properly assessing improvements and recurring/non-recurring costs.
  • Validating financial/operational risks.
  • Preparing the COE Dashboard, analyzing results and deviations, proposing improvements/cost reductions, optimizing resources, and tracking execution in terms of time and cost.
  • Controlling COE investments and their profitability.
  • Ensuring proper management of master data (Materials, routes, etc.) and the quality and consistency of information captured in systems to guarantee the accuracy of economic data.
  • Anticipating and understanding the business, being proactive in your approach.
  • Monitoring compliance with policies and regulations, ensuring proper cost allocation.
  • Identifying areas where internal control should be established or strengthened, participating in their design and implementation.

The position is based at ITP Aero Zamudio.
Address: Parque Tecnológico nº300, 48170, Bizkaia.
