Formación

  • Más de 10 años de experiencia en manufactura y aprovisionamiento, con al menos 5 en el sector espacial.

ARQUIMEA, we are a technology company operating globally and providing innovative solutions and products in highly demanding sectors.

Our areas of activity are Aerospace, Defense & Security, Big Science, Biotechnology and Fintech.

In ARQUIMEA SPACE develops spaceflight parts and equipment for satellites and launchers. We specialize in thermal control systems, structural panels, optical payloads, avionics, release and deployment mechanisms, and rad-hard microelectronics. Together with our tech partners we provide high-throughput smallsats and their subsystems. Our brand-new factory in Madrid is suited to integrate satellites and constellations.

We are looking for a Industrial Manager with the mission of leading the supplier chain, subcontractors and industrialization (mass production) of spacecraft programs, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high quality while scaling up manufacturing processes.

Tasks to be performed:

  • Develop and implement scalable manufacturing strategies for spacecraft production, optimizing workflows and supply chain management.
  • Standardize and automate production lines, integrating efficient manufacturing technologies.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to secure essential materials, components, and services while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure that all development projects led by subcontractors and suppliers adhere to high-level planning and program requirements.
  • Conduct regular follow-up and performance tracking (including NCRs) to verify that key milestones are achieved and that the projects evolve according to expectations.
  • Monitor procurement expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to enhance efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
  • Proactively assess and address potential risks related to manufacturing, supply chain disruptions, cost fluctuations, and supplier reliability. Develop contingency plans to safeguard operations.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with quality control teams to verify that all acquired components meet aerospace safety and performance criteria.
  • Lead the company’s export compliance program, managing high-volume, complex licensing processes. Oversee license applications, agreements, exemptions, and regulatory approvals.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams, coordinating efforts across engineering, design, and operations to meet production goals efficiently.

Required skills, experience and candidate profile:

  • Degree in Aerospace, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • 10+ years in manufacturing/procurement, with at least 5 years in the space sector.
  • Holding relevant industry certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
  • Experience in scaling up production, ideally in satellite constellations, spacecraft systems, subsystems and/or equipment.
  • Extensive experience in managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts in high-pressure environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a procurement team, establish performance benchmarks, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Well-versed in aerospace materials, components and parts.
  • Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems, production software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven, results-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective team player with a strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Experience with company’s export compliance program, managing multiple high-volume and complex licensing processes.
  • Skilled in mentoring, developing, and motivating procurement professionals to enhance team performance.

The position is located in our Headquarters of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid).

The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU and must be able to travel to the US.
