Job summary

Adasoft is seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Support Engineer to diagnose issues, install and maintain automation systems, and guide customers in using their equipment. This hands-on role combines field visits with remote support across sites in Spain.

You will work with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and industrial networks, providing rigorous troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-site installations. English required and travel to client sites will be frequent.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or technical degree in Mechatronics, Control and Automation or related fields.
Experience in industrial automation and technical support.
Knowledge of control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, sensors).
Familiarity with industrial networks (Modbus, Profibus, EtherNet/IP).
Good communication and customer-facing skills.
Willingness to travel and work at multiple installation sites.
Desirable PLC programming knowledge (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
Must have own car and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Provide remote and on-site technical support for installed automation systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot failures in automated systems and equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
Assist in installation, commissioning and configuration of automation systems.
Guide customers on proper system usage and troubleshooting.
Ensure deadlines are met and service quality is high.
Identify opportunities for improvement in automation systems.
Prepare technical reports and documentation of services.
Conduct technical training for internal teams and customers.
Participate in rotating shifts and on-call duties, including weekends and nights.
