Job summary

JD Logistics, part of JD.com, is seeking a Lead Inbound Supervisor to manage a team in our Madrid warehouse, ensuring accurate receipt, unloading, and storage of goods.

You will optimize workflows, monitor performance, coach staff, and coordinate with outbound and inventory control to keep operations fast and precise.

A Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field and 3–5 years in warehouse operations (1–2 in supervision) are preferred; flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Strong understanding of WMS and inventory control principles.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Oversee receiving, unloading, sorting, and storage of incoming inventory.
• Monitor inbound processes and implement improvements to reduce cycle times.
• Ensure safety regulations and quality standards are followed in the inbound area.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for team development.
• Collaborate with outbound, inventory control, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Resolve operational issues and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inbound activities and performance metrics.
• Participate in developing new inbound procedures and technologies.

Job Summary**

Lead and supervise a team of inbound associates, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of incoming goods and materials within JD.com's warehouse operations. This role focuses on optimizing workflow, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a productive team environment.

Job Responsibilities**

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of inbound associates to achieve daily performance targets and operational goals.
• Oversee the receiving, unloading, sorting, and storage of incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company procedures.
• Monitor inbound processes for efficiency and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to optimize workflow and reduce cycle times.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards within the inbound department.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate professional development for team members.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as outbound and inventory control, to ensure seamless operational flow.
• Resolve daily operational issues and elevate complex problems to management as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of inbound activities, including inventory discrepancies and team performance metrics.
• Participate in the development and implementation of new inbound procedures and technologies.

Job Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role within an inbound logistics environment.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
