A research organization in Spain is seeking a researcher to collaborate in the SIPIDERR project. You will manage technical coordination, participant recruitment, and assist in statistical analysis. Ideal candidates should hold a Master's degree and have a background in Medicine, specifically in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Experience in biomedical research and strong language skills are desired.

Formación

  • Previous experience in biomedical research projects: maximum 5 points.
  • Bilingual or proficient in English and other languages: maximum 10 points each.
  • Training/courses in the area of research: maximum 15 points.

Offer Description

The purpose of the contract is to collaborate in the lines of work and implementation of SIPIDERR project:

  • Collaborate in the management and technical coordination of the European SPIDERR project in collaboration with the principal investigators (PIs) and collaborating research team (ICs).
    • Develop and monitor the schedule of activities.
    • Collaborate and provide support in the coordination, organisation and collaboration of activities related to the project.
    • Promote participation and monitor the recruitment of participants and the monitoring of the subjects included. Monitor the pace and quality of data inclusion and collection, in compliance with the necessary provisions to follow the data management plan.
    • Support technical teams and health centres if necessary in the recruitment and scheduling of participants, as well as in fieldwork.
    • Collaborate in the extraction of information, preparation of databases, database quality and statistical analysis in collaboration with IPs and ICs
    • Drafting of follow-up reports and memoirs.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine.
  • Specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health or in Family and Community Medicine.

If you hold a foreign academic qualification, you must have the corresponding equivalent qualification in Spain, issued by the competent body for the recognition of foreign educational qualifications and degrees at the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

Specific Requirements

  • Previous experience in biomedical research projects: statistical analysis, fieldwork, design, planning and management (maximum 5 points).
  • English: B1: 3 points, B2: 5 points, English C1/C2: 10 points (maximum 10 points).
  • Other languages: B1: 3 points, B2: 5 points, C1/C2: 10 points. (maximum 10 points).
  • Previous experience in the Madrid health service (SERMAS) (maximum 5 points)
  • Training/courses in the area of research (maximum 15 points)
  • Experience as a teacher in courses or training activities in health sciences (maximum 5 points).
  • Scientific publications (maximum 5 points).
  • Presentations at national or international scientific forums (maximum 5 points).

Additional Information

The salary will be that established in the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the group of companies of the Biomedical Research Foundations of the II.SS. of the SERMAS for the professional group II, functional area 2, category of Senior professional group II, functional area 2, Superior Graduate category.

Eligibility criteria

  • Merit assessment phase: Merits related to the post up to a maximum of 60 points.

Shortlisted candidates (who have scored a minimum of 35 points) may be invited to a personal interview.

  • Aptitude assessment and interview phase up to a maximum of 40points.

In any case, a minimum score of 50 points must be obtained in all of the above stages to be eligible for the post in question.

Selection process

Applications that meet the requirements and are submitted within the deadline will be examined by an Evaluation Committee composed of three members (a Chair and two members).

The CV will be assessed together with the merits indicated above.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a personal interview.

The merits claimed must be possessed by the deadline for submission of applications and must be duly documented in order to be assessed if deemed necessary.

The position may remain vacant if the candidates presented do not meet the required conditions. Likewise, at the discretion of the Committee, a list (in order of score) of suitable candidates to fill the position may be created in the event that the employment contract with the selected candidate cannot be formalised, and the position may also be left vacant if none of the selected candidates accepts the position.

The evaluation committee will issue the decision.
