About The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled in Amadeus & Galileo GDS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll apply your deep expertise in GDS systems to help us design, validate, and refine AI-powered tools that travel agents would to use.

You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers, playing a vital role in shaping the accuracy, reliability, and practicality of Acai’s travel solutions.

What You’ll Do At Acai

GDS Product Expertise

• Serve as the subject matter expert on Amadeus and / or Galileo GDS systems
• Translate common workflows, commands, and booking, changes and cancellation scenarios into product insights.
• Collaborate with engineers to align AI behavior with real-world GDS outputs

Quality Assurance and Validation

• Review and validate AI-generated results related to ticketing, pricing, exchanges, and refunds
• Identify logic errors, inconsistent results, and opportunities for improvement
• Document and prioritize feedback for continuous refinement

Industry Insight and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Bring travel industry best practices and edge cases into product conversations
• Educate internal teams on leisure and corporate travel nuances
• Help create robust systems that mirror the day-to-day needs of OTAs and TMCs

Must-Have Skills

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated expertise in Amadeus and / or Galileo GDS, particularly cryptic mode
• 3+ years of experience at a travel agency, OTA, or TMC
• Strong working knowledge of the end-to-end booking process, including refunds and exchanges
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• While you’re an expert in traditional travel tools, you’re genuinely excited about transitioning into the AI and tech industry

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with NDC workflows and content
• Experience with CRM tools such as Zendesk, Genesys, or Kustomer
• Exposure to both leisure and corporate travel
• Previous experience in QA or AI product testing
• Knowledge of Travelfusion or other aggregators
