The ICN2 offers a competitive PhD Programme to talented students aiming to develop a research career in nanoscience and nanotechnology. Selected students will conduct their PhD thesis in cutting-edge nanoresearch within a stimulating environment with access to outstanding infrastructure. The programme includes structured training, scientific seminars, technical and transferable skills development, and regular monitoring. ICN2 promotes international and interdisciplinary research, encouraging mobility, research visits, collaborations, and conference attendance to enhance career prospects in academia and industry.

Research areas include Nanomaterials & Nanofabrication, Nanocharacterisation, Modelling and Simulation, and Application Areas such as Health, Energy, Environment, and Quantum Technologies. Candidates will choose research groups during the application process.

Requirements include a Master's or equivalent degree in a relevant science field by the time of joining, excellent academic record, strong commitment to research, and a high level of English.
