Fully-Funded PhD Programme at ICIQ

The Fully-Funded PhD Programme offered by the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is aimed at exceptional graduate students worldwide, supporting their enrollment in a research program in chemistry, leading to a Doctoral Thesis in partnership with Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).

The programme also aims to enhance their professional careers in academia and industry by:

1. Performing an individual research project under the guidance of an internationally renowned Group Leader in a stimulating scientific environment.
2. Providing opportunities for short stays at distinguished international research institutions.
3. Offering complementary training in technical and soft skills, including seminars, hands-on instrumentation training, IP management, entrepreneurship, research integrity, knowledge transfer, grant applications, project management, communication skills, and career development.

ICIQ's yearly personalized training program, SHARP, lasts two weeks and focuses on the specific needs of PhD students during their studies.

This program is targeted at highly qualified, talented graduate students interested in chemical research, with excellent academic records, a strong commitment to research, and solid English skills. Admission is competitive.

• Only one application per person; multiple submissions will be disregarded, considering only the first.
• Hard copy documents are not accepted.
• Applicants must select only one PhD supervisor.
• An acknowledgment email will be sent upon successful submission.
• Ensure all required documentation is included; incomplete applications will be rejected.

Eligibility criteria include:

1. Possession of a Master's or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or related fields, completed by the time of enrollment.
2. Applicants of any nationality are eligible.
