About the role :

As an IBM Technical Presales Consultant, you will act as a certified engineer with specialized IBM vendor knowledge, supporting multiple technologies within a Business Unit. You will primarily work internally and externally with partners and sales teams to define solutions and projects.

Responsibilities :

  1. Support the design of vendor solutions to meet customer requirements.
  2. Provide high-quality service and meet predefined customer service level agreements (SLAs).
  3. Use internal and vendor tools to generate accurate bills of materials promptly for resellers, their customers, and other TD SYNNEX sales teams.
  4. Own the assigned Request Manager resolver group.
  5. Respond quickly to queries or customer care issues.
  6. Communicate product and technology information to educate internal and external audiences.
  7. Handle product/solution inquiries from sales teams and resellers.
  8. Collaborate with sales teams to profile repeatable solutions for stock and inventory planning.
  9. Understand and apply vendor promotions.
  10. Maintain peer-level technical contacts within assigned vendors.
  11. Strive to achieve the required level of technical knowledge and vendor-related accreditation.
  12. Support the Business Solution Centre (BSC) in sales activities and partner utilization.
  13. Deliver basic post-sales implementation services as needed.
  14. Develop product knowledge to a competent technical level aligned with vendor and business expectations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :

  1. Certification across one or multiple vendors.
  2. Professional delivery of customer presentations.
  3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  4. Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and planning skills.
  5. Good business acumen to run professional meetings and engagements.
  6. Knowledge of the IT industry, including channels, vendors, competition, and end users, is desirable but not mandatory depending on role seniority.
