About the role :
As an IBM Technical Presales Consultant, you will act as a certified engineer with specialized IBM vendor knowledge, supporting multiple technologies within a Business Unit. You will primarily work internally and externally with partners and sales teams to define solutions and projects.
Responsibilities :
- Support the design of vendor solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Provide high-quality service and meet predefined customer service level agreements (SLAs).
- Use internal and vendor tools to generate accurate bills of materials promptly for resellers, their customers, and other TD SYNNEX sales teams.
- Own the assigned Request Manager resolver group.
- Respond quickly to queries or customer care issues.
- Communicate product and technology information to educate internal and external audiences.
- Handle product/solution inquiries from sales teams and resellers.
- Collaborate with sales teams to profile repeatable solutions for stock and inventory planning.
- Understand and apply vendor promotions.
- Maintain peer-level technical contacts within assigned vendors.
- Strive to achieve the required level of technical knowledge and vendor-related accreditation.
- Support the Business Solution Centre (BSC) in sales activities and partner utilization.
- Deliver basic post-sales implementation services as needed.
- Develop product knowledge to a competent technical level aligned with vendor and business expectations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
- Certification across one or multiple vendors.
- Professional delivery of customer presentations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and planning skills.
- Good business acumen to run professional meetings and engagements.
- Knowledge of the IT industry, including channels, vendors, competition, and end users, is desirable but not mandatory depending on role seniority.
