Job summary

Tieto Corp. in Madrid seeks a Database Administrator with IBM i / OS400 experience to join our IT team. You will administer DB2 databases, monitor performance, back up data, and collaborate with developers to optimize data architectures.

The role requires strong problem-solving, documentation, and experience with data migrations, masking, and change control using tools like PTC/MKS. Excellent communication skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Database Administrator, preferably in IBM i/AS400 environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with database performance, data management and change control.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administration, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery of DB2 databases.
• Database architecture, data modeling, DDL changes and impact analysis.
• Management of database structures, metadata, authorizations, data dictionaries and technical documentation.
• Administration and maintenance of database and data management tools.
• Management of data updates, data masking, data migrations and population of lower environments using anonymized data.
• Database performance and health monitoring, incident identification and troubleshooting.
• Implementation and management of database and tool changes.
• Collaboration with application and development teams to optimize database performance and support new requirements.
