Important multinational pharma company is seeking for its HQ located in Barcelona an Iberia Logistics & Master Data Manager.
The logistics manager is responsible for overseeing the logistics operations of third-party logistics providers, both warehousing and transportation, and plays a pivotal role in managing the movement of goods and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.
The logistics manager acts as a bridge between (Central) company and the 3PL providers, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and coordination.
Works closely with customers to understand their unique requirements, develop tailored logistics solutions, and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance. The manager acts as a pivotal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating the smooth flow of information, goods, and services.
Additionally, the manager should maintain the material master data in SAP.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Efficiency and Cost Savings: Streamline logistics operations, identify bottlenecks, and implement cost-saving measures; drive operational efficiency and reduce overall logistics costs by optimizing transportation routes, minimizing order quantities, and improving delivery frequency with customers, warehouse utilization, and inventory management.
- Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the process for timely deliveries, accurate order fulfillment, and effective communication with customers; align logistics operations with customer expectations.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential hazards and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions, delays, and compliance issues, ensuring business continuity.
- Scalability and Flexibility: Adapt to changing demands, scale operations, and leverage technology to meet evolving customer needs and market developments.
- Sustainability: Proactively identify opportunities for CO2 emission reduction and align with 3PL providers' expectations; monitor progress of 3PL providers towards achieving applicable sustainability goals; ensure that CO2 emission reduction targets imposed by regulatory bodies, customers, and the company are achieved.
- Master Data: Create and maintain all data related to materials and ensure everything is accurate and aligned with business needs.
This role requires a master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
This role requires:
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics, 3PL Management, and master data.
Preferably from Consumer Self-Care or FMCG industry.
English advanced level required. Spanish or Portuguese native.
Hard Skills:
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office, ERP, SAP, CRM, and order entry systems.
- Understanding of financial and business planning.
- Understanding of supply chain planning and order management processes.
- Understanding of cost, profitability, and cash flow on a strategic level.
