JR Spain busca un IBDP History Teacher para un entorno de enseñanza 100% en línea. El candidato ideal tendrá un título en Ciencias Humanas o Historia y al menos dos años de experiencia enseñando Historia IB, preferiblemente en un contexto en línea. Se ofrece una compensación competitiva por hora, y el trabajo se realizará dentro de un horario que respete la zona horaria CET.

Formación

• Mínimo 2 años de experiencia enseñando Historia IB o Grupo 3 (preferentemente en línea).
• Proficiencia en herramientas y plataformas de enseñanza en línea.
• Preferiblemente certificado en enseñanza en línea o pedagogía digital.

Responsabilidades

• Proporcionar instrucción sincrónica y apoyo a los estudiantes.
• Fomentar el aprendizaje basado en indagaciones.
• Apoyar a los estudiantes en la evaluación interna y preparación para examenes IB.

Conocimientos

Fluidez en Inglés (C1)

Experiencia en enseñanza en línea

Uso de herramientas digitales

Educación

Licenciatura en Human Sciences, Historia o Geografía

Calificación docente (PGCE, QTS, u equivalente)

Máster en Historia o Educación (valorable)

Job Description:

SEK Global Campus is looking to hire an IBDP History Teacher for September.

Mission: Promote student learning through thoughtfully planned, delivered, and assessed lessons that support their growth in all areas: academic, physical, socio-emotional, and ethical. Create an inclusive online learning environment that fosters respect and understanding of diverse cultures, empowering students to thrive as globally-minded individuals who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to an interconnected world.

Functions: The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Provide synchronous instruction and asynchronous student facilitation support.
2. Work closely with and support a broad variety of international students.
3. Foster inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions.
4. Support students in completing internal assessments (IAs) and preparing for IB external examinations.
5. Develop and administer assessments that align with IB standards.
6. Provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, assessments, and projects to support student progress.
7. Assist students in developing effective study and research skills.
8. Mentor and guide students in their academic, physical, socio-emotional, and ethical development.
9. Create a supportive online classroom environment where students feel respected, valued, and motivated to learn.
10. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on student progress.
11. Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional learning communities, and ongoing IB training workshops.
12. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the Biology curriculum.
13. Stay current with IB curriculum updates and online teaching best practices.
14. Provide sufficient and timely feedback on student work.
15. Work with and collaborate with Tutor Teachers and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator.
16. Utilize digital tools such as ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, and virtual lab platforms to enhance learning.
17. Leverage technology to create interactive lessons, simulations, and experiments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences, History, Geography, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IB History or Group 3 (preferably online).
• Proficiency in online teaching tools and platforms.
• Fluency in English (C1).
• Digital tools such as ManageBac, Microsoft Teams, and virtual lab platforms to enhance learning.
• Master’s degree in History or Education and certification in online teaching or digital pedagogy (valued positively).

What we offer: 100% online, Time zone within 3 or 4 hours of Central European Time (CET), 8 hours, Competitive compensation per hour.
