SEK Catalunya International School in Spain seeks a PYP Art Teacher to join as an immediate replacement. The role involves planning and delivering visual arts lessons within the IB Primary Years Programme, fostering creativity, inquiry, and cultural awareness.

The successful candidate will hold a teaching qualification for primary students and a degree in Fine Arts or related field, with English fluency and willingness to use Spanish and/or Catalan.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or equivalent teaching qualification for primary-aged students.
• Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Education, or a related field
• Teaching experience (visual arts), preferably in the PYP
• English native speaker or native speaker level
• Speaking Spanish and/or Catalan will be valued

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging visual arts lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme and school curriculum.
• Foster creativity, self-expression, and inquiry through a variety of artistic techniques, media, and processes.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to support artistic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop meaningful transdisciplinary learning experiences and connections.
• Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that promotes student agency, reflection, and appreciation of diverse cultures and artistic perspectives.
