Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer to join our AI‑powered Payroll Operations platform, building scalable Python/.NET services, Angular micro frontends, and cloud‑hosted AI agents for global payroll workflows.

You will design REST APIs, work with SQL Server, Terraform, and modern frontend tech, collaborating across engineering, AI, and infra teams in an agile, international environment.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience as a Full‑Stack or Backend Engineer in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience designing and building Python‑based services, ideally including AI agents or cloud AI integrations.
• Solid experience with .NET Core for building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks, ideally Angular, and with web components (Stencil) and micro frontend architectures.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform, and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience with security best practices, CI/CD tools, and software engineering best practices.
• Professional level of English, able to collaborate with international teams.

As a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer, you will be a key member of the team building our AI‑powered Payroll Operations platform. You will work on a cutting‑edge intelligent assistant that automates and streamlines payroll workflows, enabling practitioners to manage payroll operations efficiently through a conversational AI experience. You will contribute across the full stack — from micro frontends and web components, through REST APIs and relational databases, to cloud‑hosted AI agents — and integrate with multiple enterprise payroll systems.

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of experience as a Full‑Stack or Backend Engineer working with Python and/or .NET in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience designing and building Python‑based services, ideally including AI agents or integrations with cloud AI platforms.
• Solid experience with .NET Core for building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks, ideally Angular, and with web components (Stencil or similar) and micro frontend architectures.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (preferably SQL Server): writing complex queries, understanding schemas, and integrating with existing data models.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform, and cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Solid understanding of software architecture and distributed systems (modularization, scalability, resilience).
• Experience integrating with or modernizing legacy enterprise systems without impacting existing functionality.
• Good understanding of security best practices: identity and access management, trust boundaries, idempotency, audit trails, PII protection, feature flags/kill switches.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) and use of Git.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices: clean code, design patterns, testing, code review, documentation.
• Professional level of English, able to collaborate with international teams – your day‑to‑day work will be in English.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Python‑based AI agents using modern agentic frameworks and cloud AI runtimes.
• Develop and maintain .NET Core APIs that act as downstream services for the AI agent layer.
• Build and integrate Angular micro frontends and Stencil web components into an existing enterprise shell application.
• Work with SQL Server databases: write and optimize queries, understand and evolve schemas, and integrate with existing payroll data models.
• Write and maintain Terraform code to define and manage cloud infrastructure for the platform.
• Integrate new AI and automation capabilities into legacy enterprise payroll systems without breaking existing functionality.
• Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, AI, and infrastructure teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Implement and enforce security and compliance best practices across the stack (identity, auditability, PII redaction, feature flags, etc.).
• Contribute to technical design documentation, READMEs, and the team knowledge base, helping to spread best practices and onboard new team members.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking, with the ability to understand complex business and technical domains (payroll, HR, compliance).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams (engineering, architecture, product, operations, business stakeholders).
• Proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership, and focus on continuous improvement and automation.
• Comfortable working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban), participating in ceremonies and contributing to team rituals.
• Experience in financial services, payroll, HR tech or other highly regulated sectors.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Experience with DevSecOps tools (SAST, DAST, dependency analysis, secrets management).
• Familiarity with observability and reliability practices (monitoring, logging, alerting, SRE concepts).
• Experience with API gateways, service mesh, or service discovery tools.
