Job summary

Ebury Madrid is seeking a Senior Audit Manager to lead independent reviews of Treasury, FX, payments and financial controls. You will assess liquidity risk, market risk, and regulatory reporting, while ensuring governance and safeguarding of client funds.

The role requires deep FX product knowledge, end-to-end control testing, and collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organisation. Hybrid work arrangement offered in Madrid.

Qualifications

• Deep domain expertise in spot and derivative FX products (Spot, Forwards, NDFs, Swaps, Money Market).
• Understanding of trade capture, matching, confirmation, settlement workflows and lifecycle controls.
• Advanced knowledge of client pay & collect operations, cross-border rails (SWIFT, SEPA, ACH).
• Experience auditing ICFR/SCIIF and regulatory reporting returns.
• Familiarity with regulatory capital frameworks (ICAAP, CRR/CRD, CET1) and safeguarding client funds.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based audit engagements across trading, liquidity and payment operations.
• Assess controls around trade amendments, settlements, and payment processing enhancements.
• Audit end-to-end reconciliation across TMS and core accounting systems (Quantum, NetSuite, SmartTrade, 360T).
• Review CR/FR reporting controls for accuracy and timeliness of statutory returns.
• Coordinate with governance bodies (ALCO, Audit Committee) and manage remediation actions.
