Control Risks Madrid seeks an Associate Research Manager to lead a team delivering high-quality VANTAGE reports, guiding scoping to post-delivery assessment. You will manage personnel across locations, review outputs, engage with clients and contribute to growth and project margins.

Formación

• Education to degree level (bachelor’s or equivalent)
• Experience in managing people, both on site and virtually
• Full fluency in written and spoken English and French
• Experience in writing, researching and reviewing due diligence reports; demonstrated excellence in research, writing and editing in English
• Knowledge of the socio-political environment in Europe, Africa, Central Asia or Middle East
• Experience in managing projects, especially where the project team is spread across several locations
• Strong knowledge of research techniques, databases, networks, online registers and archives and other OSINT research tools
• Experience influencing people across an organization, especially without direct reporting lines
• Proven ability to meet project deadlines

Responsabilidades

• Manage a team of researchers, senior researchers and team leads
• Define, for each team member, objectives and responsibilities in line with the practice goals
• Conduct performance reviews
• Ensure well-being and professional development of staff
• Support the Research manager and Associate Director in recruiting new researchers
• Ensure VANTAGE work is properly scoped, allocated to researchers, tracked and delivered on time and within budget
• Communicate with clients to clarify scope, address questions, and suggest additional research avenues
• Review and approve (content and editorial) VANTAGE work to meet client specifications
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality of work
• Engage with colleagues across Control Risks to address client queries
• Interact regularly with other Managers and QA team for feedback on VANTAGE work
• Participate in discussions with other Managers, Client Services and Product teams for service/product improvement
