Job summary

NN Netherlands in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Integration Solution Architect to translate business needs into implementable integration designs. You will connect consumers, providers, and platform teams, maximise API reuse, and create artefacts to onboard countries consistently and securely.

You will drive architecture decisions, design end-to-end integrations, and document contracts and guardrails while leading refinement and onboarding activities across multiple countries.

Qualifications

• Leading requirements discovery and converting business needs into architecture decisions and artefacts.
• Designing end-to-end integrations across multiple systems, teams, domains or countries.
• Analyzing API and event consumers and providers, including ownership, contracts and non-functional requirements.
• Finding reusable capabilities and APIs with a reuse-first approach and gap analysis.
• Creating integration patterns, data-flow views and sequence diagrams that are easy to implement.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into integration requirements with stakeholders to clarify outcomes and constraints.
• Identify reusable capabilities and APIs; document gaps requiring enhancement or new investment.
• Map ownership, contracts, dependencies, data responsibilities, and volumes for providers and consumers.
• Define end-to-end integration designs covering orchestration, APIs, events, data flows and security.
• Select patterns such as REST, asynchronous messaging, event-driven, batch or file exchange based on business needs.
• Document patterns and sequence diagrams with version-controlled artefacts for review and implementation.
• Specify API and event contracts including interfaces, authentication, idempotency, error models and retries.
• Drive alignment across consumers, providers and platform teams to avoid fragmented solutions.
• Support country onboarding by assessing local needs against shared capabilities.
• Facilitate refinement and delivery by breaking designs into actionable enablers and backlog items.
• Ensure secure and operable solutions with API gateways, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and monitoring.
