Nationale-Nederlanden in Madrid is seeking a Senior API Designer to shape and deliver scalable API solutions on Azure for NN International. You will drive API governance, define integration patterns, and collaborate across countries to build reusable platforms.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, mentor teams, and promote DevOps practices while focusing on secure, resilient, and scalable REST/SOAP services within an insurance-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in API design and development.
• Strong expertise in REST and SOAP web services.
• Proven experience with Azure PaaS services.
• Solid knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC concepts.
• Experience with API Management platforms and API Governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of integration architectures and mediation patterns.
• Experience implementing secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to take ownership and make informed technical decisions.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop backend service components integrated with Azure PaaS.
• Design and develop solutions within the API Platform and Mediation Layer initiatives of NN International.
• Define, implement, and promote API Governance standards across the organization.
• Design integration solutions leveraging APIs, Events, MCP, and modern integration patterns.
• Design robust, scalable, and reusable web service solutions considering both business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP services.
• Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Ensure quality, security, observability, and reliability throughout the application lifecycle.
• Promote DevOps best practices and cloud engineering standards.
