Job summary

WPP is seeking a GL Reporting Analyst to own general ledger accounting and month-end close within our Finance Shared Services environment. You will drive accurate records, strong controls, and timely compliance across RTR activities, supporting audits and transformation initiatives.

The role emphasizes ERP systems proficiency (SAP, Oracle, BC Media, Maconomy) and expertise in Spanish GAAP/IFRS 16, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in accounting, RTR, audit or financial reporting in a Shared Services or corporate environment.
• Knowledge of statutory accounts and disclosure, auditing coordination, intercompany reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Own general ledger accounting activities for assigned entities or processes, including complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with defined timelines.
• Ensure accurate posting of accounting entries in the ERP system and challenge unusual transactions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards.
