Aistech Space, based in Barcelona, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design high-performance firmware for satellite payloads. You will ensure 100% reliability of imaging data and bridge optical payloads with data infrastructure.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software or firmware development, with strong proficiency in C and modern C++ (C++14/17 or later).
• Solid understanding of ARM Cortex-M/R/A architectures and hands-on experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet.
• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) or embedded Linux, including POSIX APIs and multithreaded applications.
• Experience with build systems (CMake, Make, GCC/Clang, Yocto), Git, and Jira; debugging with GDB and JTAG/SWD.
• Excellent documentation and ability to communicate design decisions clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Firmware Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance embedded software in C/C++ for payload control and data handling.
• Hardware Integration: Collaborate with Optics and Electronics teams to integrate drivers and debug interfaces.
• Real-Time Systems: Implement RTOS-based or embedded Linux apps for low-latency satellite imagery processing.
• Testing & Validation: Unit testing, HiL testing, and deployment on flight models.
• Documentation: Maintain ADRs and API docs for the Astra Project.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Payload, Ground Segment, and Data Infrastructure teams.
