I’m working with a global flavour house seeking a highly skilled Senior Flavourist with expertise in Sweet, Savoury, or Beverage flavours to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to create market-leading flavour solutions for international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Flavour Development: Design and develop innovative sweet, savoury, or beverage flavours across a wide range of applications including confectionery, snacks, sauces, seasonings, ready meals, and drinks.
• Customization: Tailor flavour profiles for client-specific requirements, incorporating regional preferences, market trends, and regulatory needs.
• Innovation: Explore and integrate new ingredients and technologies to drive innovation in the flavour space.
• Project Management: Manage the full flavour development process — from concept through to commercialisation — ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D;, marketing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless product development.
• Customer Interaction: Directly engage with clients to understand needs, present solutions, and provide technical support.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all flavours meet relevant local and international regulatory standards.
• Mentorship: Support and mentor junior flavourists and technical staff to build internal capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field (advanced qualifications are a plus).
• 8-10+ years of experience in the flavour industry, specialising in sweet, savoury, or beverage flavour creation.
• Strong technical expertise in raw materials, flavour creation processes,
and analytical techniques.
• Proven track record of developing unique and commercially successful flavours.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and clients.
• High attention to detail with robust documentation and formulation skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Spanish are a plus.
