Job description

HV Electrical Engineer – Ref. JOB-1572

Summary

We are looking for an HV Electrical Engineer to work on the development of industrial facilities, particularly in the field of renewable energy and green hydrogen production. The role aims to ensure the performance, reliability, and compliance of high-voltage electrical architectures, while supporting project teams in technical decision-making and risk management throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define, optimize, and validate the electrical architecture of installations, acting as the technical authority for high-voltage systems (HV networks, HV/MV and MV/LV transformers), particularly for hydrogen production units based on electrolysis.

  • Coordinate and validate the design and sizing studies of HV/MV/LV electrical installations, ensuring the technical quality of deliverables.

  • Participate in the technical evaluation of bids and engage in technical discussions with contractors and equipment suppliers, especially for electrolysis systems and associated infrastructure.

  • Advise project teams on technical choices, taking into account the specific constraints of green hydrogen projects (high power demand, renewable energy integration, service continuity).

  • Propose innovative technical solutions aligned with energy transition challenges.

  • Work closely with project teams and other disciplines to ensure overall design consistency (process, utilities, renewables).

  • Contribute to the development of the company’s technical and quality framework (procedures, specifications, standards), integrating the specific requirements of green hydrogen projects.

  • Location: Various geographical areas.

Your Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role in high-voltage electrical engineering (HV/MV).

  • Proven experience on large-scale industrial or energy projects, ideally in renewable energy or green hydrogen.

  • Strong knowledge of power transmission and distribution systems.

  • Proficiency in HV electrical calculations and industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., ETAP).

Your Profile

  • Engineering degree or specialized Master’s in Electrical Engineering.

  • Strong technical expertise in HV/MV and MV/LV systems and infrastructure.

  • Good knowledge of applicable standards, regulations, and directives.

  • Knowledge of hydrogen production technologies (electrolysis, renewable integration) would be a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, strong team spirit, and capability to operate in multidisciplinary project environments.

  • Professional level of English required.

Your Motivation

You are not only an excellent HV Electrical Engineer, but you are committed to providing process expertise in order to identify the best design solutions and contribute to industrial projects.
