ZYMVOL is a biotech company specialized in the design, development, and application of molecular modeling software for discovering and developing new industrial enzymes.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Human Resources Manager, reporting directly to the COO. This is a part-time role (20 hours / week) based in our Barcelona office.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to oversee all HR practices and processes. The role involves implementing HR strategies, policies, and practices aligned with company goals and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws. The HR Manager will handle employee relations and professional development, fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Managing compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with company objectives.
  • Handling employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, promoting a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Overseeing performance appraisal programs to support employee development, engagement, and productivity.
  • Identifying training needs and creating development programs to address skill gaps.
  • Monitoring and reporting HR metrics such as turnover rates, time to hire, and employee satisfaction.
  • Managing the HR budget to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, Spanish employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or HRCI certification preferred.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the EU is required.
