Descripción del empleo

We are looking for an experienced HR Consultant to join our team on a 12-month term basis to support the pre and post-acquisition transition. Working alongside the HR team and the integration team, this role will be instrumental in leading and executing the HR transformation workstream for Spain and supporting the broader EMEA integration. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in Spanish employment law, HR transformation, and M&A integration.

  • Please note that this is a 12 month contract opportunity, with the potential for extension

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to) :

HR Transformation & Integration

Lead the HR transformation agenda for the Spanish operations as part of the wider pre and post-acquisition integration.

Assess and map the current HR processes, policies, and structures in the acquired entities; identify gaps and harmonisation opportunities.

Align HR practices, policies, and documentation with the company's group-wide standards, ensuring local compliance and cultural fit.

Support the creation and implementation of new people structures, including role design, reporting lines, and workforce planning.

Oversee the integration of HR systems, data, and processes, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.

Help define and implement change management strategies and communications to support employee engagement and retention through the transformation.

Leading the integration of culture and communication work streams

Employment Law and Compliance

Serve as the subject matter expert on Spanish employment law, ensuring all transformation initiatives comply with local legal and regulatory requirements.

Advise on employee transfers, harmonisation of terms and conditions, potential redundancies, and reorganisation activities.

Draft, review, and advise on employment documentation (contracts, letters, handbooks) and support HR-related negotiations where necessary.

Provide guidance on compliance issues and represent HR in discussions with local legal counsel and works councils, where applicable.

Cross-Border Collaboration and Advisory

Support HR integration workstreams in other European countries

Partner with central HR, Legal, Finance, and business leadership teams to ensure alignment across strategic and operational goals.

Share best practices and lessons learned across regions to promote consistency and continuous improvement in HR delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated experience in HR transformation within the context of M&A or large-scale organisational change.

Deep and up-to-date knowledge of Spanish employment law, with practical application in complex HR change scenarios.

Hands-on experience with employee relations, legal compliance, policy development, and restructuring processes.

Strong understanding and working experience of Convenio's (collective bargain agreements).

Strong project management skills and ability to deliver on tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across countries and functions, with excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

Experience working in multinational or matrixed organisations.

Fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written).
