Applications are invited for one research support technician position, under an indefinite contract regime as stipulated in RD 32/2021 of December 28, 2021, to support the execution of the research line: Dryland agriculture and Land use; past, present and future resilience [AGRI-DRY].

Job Responsibilities
The candidate will fulfill the project manager functions for the AGRI-DRY project led by Dr. Marco Madella. This includes being responsible for planning project activities (such as Summer Schools), implementing and managing the project's Milestones and Deliverables, including coordinating the development of objectives, work plans, strategies, and evaluating project progress, as well as budget monitoring. The candidate must provide daily support to the IPs (Investigating Professors), assisting in the implementation of project management and communication processes and protocols, in accordance with best practices, as well as substituting for IPs when necessary on management issues.

Candidate Requirements
General
a) Hold a high school diploma (batxillerat).
b) Must not have been dismissed from public service through disciplinary action, nor be disqualified by final judgment from performing public functions. In the case of being a national of another State, must not be disqualified or in an equivalent situation, nor have been subjected to disciplinary or equivalent sanctions that prevent, in their State, access to public employment under the same terms.
These participation requirements must be met on the last day of the application period, must be reliably demonstrable at any point in the selection process, and must continue to be met on the date of contract signing.
Selection Criteria
a) Professional experience in managing European research projects: 20 points
b) Professional experience in managing academic structures (e.g., universities, research centers): 20 points
c) Professional experience in personnel management: 5 points
d) High level of spoken and written English: 10 points
e) Experience in the world of inclusion: 5 points
The minimum score to pass the selection process is: 40 points.
If deemed appropriate, the selection committee may invite candidates for an interview or contact references to clarify aspects of their CV that may help better evaluate them.
The operation of the selection committees will conform to the Regulations on the remote operation of collegial bodies of Pompeu Fabra University (Agreement of the Governing Council of December 9, 2020), with sessions always being held synchronously. In matters not provided for in these regulations, Law 26/2010, of August 3, on the legal regime and procedure of public administrations of Catalonia, will apply, without prejudice to the basic rules established in Article 17 of Law 40/2015 of October 1 on the legal regime of the Public Sector.
In sessions where candidates must participate, the presence of candidates and, at a minimum, the Secretary of the Committee will be ensured. If a candidate demonstrates residence outside Catalonia or justified circumstances prevent their physical presence, they may request remote participation from the Committee Secretary. The Secretary may admit this, provided it does not affect the equal participation of candidates in the performance of tests and in the evaluations to be carried out by the Committee.
