Clarios is seeking a Plant HR Manager to lead HR for two manufacturing sites in Spain, overseeing payroll, labor law, recruitment and employee relations for 550+ employees at Guardamar del Segura and Ibi.

You will partner with local leadership, drive organizational development, and shape an engaging culture while ensuring compliance and strategic HR delivery in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

Formación

• University degree in HR, Law, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Solid years of experience as HR Manager/Lead in industrial production environments.
• Advanced working knowledge of labor law and its practical application.
• Proven track record in transformation or change processes, involving cultural or structural change.

• Oversee HR processes at the site including payroll, labor law compliance, recruitment and employee relations.
• Lead local HR teams and build the HR Business Partner role with the Plant Manager.

• Collaborate with Works Council and manage payroll governance.

Your role

As Plant HR Manager (m/f/d), you will lead the HR function for two key manufacturing sites in Spain, serving as a strategic advisor to local leadership teams and a champion for employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. You will guide approximately 550+ employees through an evolving business environment while ensuring excellent HR service delivery, strong employee relations, and sustainable business performance across the Guardamar del Segura battery plant and the Ibi poly plant. The position will be based at the Clarios battery plant in Guardamar del Segura in Spain.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the EMEA HR function at plant level, providing strategic HR leadership and ensuring alignment between regional HR strategy and local business execution while acting as the primary HR business partner to the Plant Manager.
• Overall responsibility for all HR processes at the site, including temporary labor, recruiting, talent development, employee relations, labor law compliance, payroll and HR administration.
• Leadership and development of the local HR teams.
• Establish and maintain a strong HR Business Partner role for the Plant Manager while representing the EMEA HR organization at site, ensuring regional HR strategies, standards, and initiatives are effectively implemented locally.
• Design and implementation of a future-oriented HR agenda in the context of growth, organizational development, and leadership culture.
• Confident and solution-oriented collaboration with the Works Council.
• Overall governance of the payroll agenda.
• Ensuring discipline and managerial accountability within the production environment together with the leadership team.
• Strengthening, refining, and continuously supervising existing compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
• Supporting employee engagement, company culture, and internal communication.
• Active involvement in cross-functional, international HR projects (HR digitalization, process efficiency, leadership development).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• University degree in HR, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Solid years of experience as HR Manager / HR Lead in an industrial production environment, ideally automotive environment.
• Advanced working knowledge of labor law and its practical application.
• Proven track record in transformation or change processes, ideally involving cultural and/or structural change.
• Experience working with Works Councils and confidence in handling labor law matters.
• Ideally, experience in building or scaling HR structures in growing organizations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English language.
• A strong leader with a cooperative mindset, bringing clarity, structure, and energy to the team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and assertiveness – credible on the shopfloor as well as within the management team.
• Ability to think strategically while reliably managing operational HR processes.
