Clarios is seeking an Plant HR Manager for two manufacturing sites in Spain. Lead the HR function, advise local leadership, and drive employee engagement for ~550+ staff at Guardamar del Segura and Ibi plants.

Based at the Guardamar site, you will ensure strategic HR delivery and strong relations with Works Councils. You will oversee payroll, recruitment, talent development, and HR operations, while shaping organizational development, culture, and leadership.

Formación

• University degree in HR, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Solid years of experience as HR Manager/HR Lead in an industrial production environment.
• Advanced working knowledge of labor law and its practical application.
• Proven track record in transformation or change processes.
• Experience with Works Councils and handling labor law matters.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsabilidades

• Represent the EMEA HR function at plant level and align regional strategy with local execution.
• Oversee all HR processes at the site, including payroll, recruitment and employee relations.
• Lead and develop local HR teams and ensure governance of payroll.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager to implement HR standards and initiatives locally.
• Design and implement a future-oriented HR agenda for growth and leadership culture.
• Engage with Works Council and ensure labor law compliance across the site.
• Drive compensation, benefits and performance management improvements.
• Support employee engagement and internal communications.
• Lead cross-functional, international HR projects (digitalization, efficiency, mentoring).

Your role:

As Plant HR Manager (m/f/d), you will lead the HR function for two key manufacturing sites in Spain, serving as a strategic advisor to local leadership teams and a champion for employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. You will guide approximately 550+ employees through an evolving business environment while ensuring excellent HR service delivery, strong employee relations, and sustainable business performance across the Guardamar del Segura battery plant and the Ibi poly plant. The position will be based at the Clarios battery plant in Guardamar del Segura in Spain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the EMEA HR function at plant level, providing strategic HR leadership and ensuring alignment between regional HR strategy and local business execution while acting as the primary HR business partner to the Plant Manager.


• Overall responsibility for all HR processes at the site, including temporary labor, recruiting, talent development, employee relations, labor law compliance, payroll and HR administration


• Leadership and development of the local HR teams


• Establish and maintain a strong HR Business Partner role for the Plant Manager while representing the EMEA HR organization at site, ensuring regional HR strategies, standards, and initiatives are effectively implemented locally


• Design and implementation of a future-oriented HR agenda in the context of growth, organizational development, and leadership culture


• Confident and solution-oriented collaboration with the Works Council


• Overall governance of the payroll agenda


• Ensuring discipline and managerial accountability within the production environment together with the leadership team


• Strengthening, refining, and continuously supervising existing compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.


• Supporting employee engagement, company culture, and internal communication


• Active involvement in cross-functional, international HR projects (HR digitalization, process efficiency, leadership development)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• University degree in HR, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field


• Solid years of experience as HR Manager / HR Lead in an industrial production environment, ideally automotive environment


• Advanced working knowledge of labor law and its practical application.


• Proven track record in transformation or change processes, ideally involving cultural and/or structural change


• Experience working with Works Councils and confidence in handling labor law matters


• Ideally, experience in building or scaling HR structures in growing organizations


• Fluency in Spanish and English language


• A strong leader with a cooperative mindset, bringing clarity, structure, and energy to the team


• Strong interpersonal skills and assertiveness - credible on the shopfloor as well as within the management team


• Ability to think strategically while reliably managing operational HR processes
