As a growing organisation, we seek an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to lead human resource initiatives for our Southern Europe region. Role Summary

The HR Manager for Southern Europe will be responsible for delivering a full spectrum of HR services across our Southern Europe offices. This role will support business leaders in aligning people strategies with business goals, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, and cultivating a thriving workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership :

  1. Partner with regional leadership to design and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  2. Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning efforts for the region.
  3. Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Talent Management :

  1. Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent in Southern Europe.
  2. Implement performance management processes, including appraisals and career development frameworks.
  3. Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

HR Operations :

  1. Manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll oversight, benefits administration, and employee records management.
  2. Ensure compliance with local labour laws and corporate HR policies.
  3. Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and grievance management.

Learning & Development :

  1. Identify training programs to enhance leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Identify development needs and create career progression pathways for employees.

Change Management :

  1. Support organisational changes, including mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring, ensuring smooth transitions.
  2. Lead communication strategies related to HR initiatives and change projects.

Key Requirements :

  1. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a plus.
  2. Languages : bilingual in English and at least one Southern European language (e.g., Spanish, Italian, Portuguese).
  3. Knowledge : Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in Southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal).

Expectations of the role include :

  1. The ability to advise your team on the successful running of a plethora of people processes from start to finish.
  2. Be comfortable with ambiguity, craves autonomy and able to bring your team and wider peers along with you to gain buy in and trust.
  3. Building excellent relationships and credibility with senior business leaders based on solid commercial understanding and identifying customer needs to go beyond delivering defined HR solutions.
  4. Ability to think strategically and conceptually, and solve business problems with pragmatic and speedy solutions – assimilating issues and ideas into clear requirements, generating alternative solutions based on own insight or learning.
  5. Driving HR Transformation alongside the CPO – including capability building, operational excellence and system transformation.
  6. Strong communication, engagement and interpersonal skills, delivering impactful messages and influences outcomes.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
