With local professional teams in more than 10 countries, Emeren Italia is an active and growing part of our European operations, playing a key role in the clean energy transition.

The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support the HR Director, Europe & North America in the end-to-end delivery of core HR processes — recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy design, HR systems, and US payroll administration — across a multi-country footprint, acting as the operational point of reference for both EU and US employees

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment (EU and US)
  • Define search profiles with hiring managers and draft job descriptions
  • Post job ads, source candidates, screen CVs
  • Manage the interview process (scheduling, interviewer coordination, feedback collection)
  • Negotiate and prepare offer letters, aligning with the HR Director on compensation benchmarks
  • Manage pre-hire documentation (background checks where applicable, contractual/immigration documentation for specific cases)
Onboarding & Offboarding Management (EU and US)
  • Own the end-to-end onboarding process: contract preparation, welcome kit, system access requests, induction scheduling
  • Coordinate with IT, payroll, and hiring managers to ensure new hires are fully set up on day one
  • Manage the offboarding process: exit documentation, final pay coordination, system deactivation, exit interviews
  • Maintain onboarding/offboarding checklists and ensure consistent application across countries
  • Support GDPR-compliant handling of departing employee data (e.g., email forwarding, data retention)
Employee Query Management (EU and US)
  • First point of contact for employee queries on contracts, benefits, leave/PTO, and company policies
  • Escalate cases requiring legal review or managerial decision-making to the HR Director
  • Manage HR tickets through the internal ticketing system
Support on Employee Relations
  • Support the HR Director in managing employee relations matters (grievances, disciplinary processes, performance-related concerns)
  • Prepare supporting documentation for employee relations cases (meeting notes, correspondence, case files)
  • Help ensure consistent, compliant handling of sensitive employee matters across jurisdictions
  • Liaise with local legal counsel as needed under the HR Director's direction
Performance Management Support
  • Coordinate the performance review cycle calendar and communications across EU and US
  • Support managers and employees with performance management tools and templates
  • Track completion rates and follow up on outstanding reviews
  • Compile performance data and summaries for the HR DirectorSupport the administration of goal-setting, mid-year, and year-end review processes
Support on Local and Group Policy & Procedures
  • Support the drafting and review of Group policies (employee handbook, travel & expense policy, referral programme, AI usage policy)
  • Localize Group policies to reflect country-specific regulatory requirements (in coordination with local legal counsel)
  • Maintain up-to-date, accessible procedural documentation for employees
  • Support the rollout of new procedures following regulatory or organizational changes
US Payroll & Administration
  • Coordinate with the US payroll provider for monthly data submission and verification (new hires, terminations, compensation changes)
  • Manage administrative aspects of separations (severance agreements, OWBPA-related documentation where applicable)
  • Support benefits enrollment/renewal administration for US employees
  • Maintain and file employee records in line with US requirements (I-9, W-4, etc.)
  • Support coordination with US legal counsel on state-specific compliance matters
HR Information Systems Management
  • Administer and maintain the HRIS (employee records, contracts, compensation data)
  • Manage data flows between the HRIS, payroll providers, and other connected systems
  • Support the evaluation and migration of new HRIS platforms
  • Produce HR reporting and analytics for the HR Director (turnover, headcount, time-to-hire)
  • Manage access permissions and data quality across HR systems
Cross-Functional Projects
  • Support employee engagement initiatives (e.g., cross-country events)
  • Support the implementation of HR productivity tools (Asana, Power Automate)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (HR, Law, Business, or similar)
  • 5-7 years of HR generalist experience, with proven end-to-end recruitment experience
