Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced HR Director to oversee our HR operations in Spain and Portugal, involving 7 legal entities with >1000 employees. The successful candidate will report into the Regional HR Director for Europe and lead a team of 5 HR professionals ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services across the cluster. This role requires strategic insight and operational excellence to drive continuous improvement and to align our HR initiatives with corporate and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the local HR team, ensuring timely and high-quality HR services,
  • Develop and implement local HR strategy, translating it into actionable targets, KPIs, and local measures, while tracking project progress, offering guidance and communication with stakeholders, and initiate necessary changes,
  • Drive HR sustainability initiatives and integrate them into the HR strategy roadmap,
  • Use KPIs and data to continuously improve HR processes and service delivery, ensuring efficiency and standardization, while managing improvement initiatives and assessing their impact,
  • Oversee workforce planning, talent management, succession processes, employee dialogues, and regional salary reviews,
  • Act as the primary contact and advisor for key stakeholders (local management, workers council, unions) on all strategic and operational HR matters to support regional and local goals,
  • Foster collaboration across regions and business streams to share best practices and support continuous process improvement and harmonization,
  • Develop and manage change management plans (e.g. as part of a post-merger integration), including interventions, budget, and communication with the management team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role,
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (min. C1), Portuguese as a plus,
  • Profound working experience in change and transformation processes, skilled in project management,
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret HR data and drive process improvements,
  • Strong business orientation and the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals,
  • Experience with intercultural teams, preferably within a multinational environment,
  • Commitment to fostering change and driving continuous improvement within HR processes.
