Business Development Director - FMCG Account

Location : Barcelona, Spain

Overview

I am currently partnered exclusively with an industry-leading global Personal Care and Homecare contract manufacturer. We are seeking a Business Development Director to manage the largest FMCG global account.

This individual must be strategic, possess a global understanding of the FMCG landscape, and report directly to the executive committee. Willingness to travel extensively and work within a global team is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations of commercial agreements and oversee execution aligned with the established strategy, achieving sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in a similar role within large, well-structured companies, preferably in FMCG and close to manufacturing operations.
  • Deep knowledge of contract agreements, project management, manufacturing costing, and finance.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent negotiation skills capable of closing multimillion-dollar deals.
  • Relocation support available; candidate must be based in Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 4 direct reports.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations and service level agreements.
  • Participate in goal delivery and review preparations.
  • Negotiate prices as the internal and external SPOC.
  • Drive high sales volume with targeted RVAC and CFM.
  • Coordinate and report on business continuity activities.
  • Negotiate manufacturing, service, and funding agreements.
  • Win new projects, prepare offers, and negotiate favorable conditions.
  • Coordinate supply agreements, including order, forecasting, and raw material supply conditions.
  • Manage sales, CAPEX forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Encourage value delivery from plants to meet financial objectives.
