Connecting Public Transport, Nature, and Schools to Promote Active Mobility and More Friendly Community Spaces. This project addresses the need for sustainable urban mobility solutions that prioritize children's and young people's safety, health, and environmental impact. It explores transforming public transport hubs and school routes into multifunctional, green, and participatory spaces that foster active mobility and community well-being. Key research questions include how to enhance safety and accessibility using Nature-based Solutions (NbS), and how digital and participatory tools can empower communities. The project employs mixed methods, including literature reviews, socio-spatial data collection, stakeholder workshops, and pilot testing in European cities such as Seville, Lund, Padua, and Porto.
