Responsibilities and Functions:

The Hospital Representative is responsible for the development of sales and the introduction of products in the hospitals of Barcelona. Reporting to the Regional Area Manager, the selected person will plan and execute development strategies and negotiations with key clients such as Emergency Physicians, Traumatologists, Internal Medicine, Nursing, and in some cases Hospital Pharmacy and other Hospital Managers, especially but not exclusively in the area of Thrombosis.

Previous experience in Thrombosis, Dermatology, Allergy, Gastro, Digestive, hospital antibiotics, Oncology, or regional market access is highly valued.

Each day we face the challenge of making a difference, and this is how the position will create an impact:

  • Integrated planning and management of assigned hospital accounts implementing the business processes designed to achieve the sales objectives set by management in the assigned geographical area.
  • Promoting and presenting the company's products and solutions articulately, as well as reinforcing the image of Viatris in the pillars of access, collaboration, and leadership.
  • Follow-up and loyalty of the client portfolio, developing the relationship with key clients (KOLs), scientific societies, and other regional stakeholders.
  • Facilitating training and utility programs in person, online, or remotely.
  • Presentation (and ownership) of reports on the implementation of commercial activities (CRM Veeva and others).
  • Monitoring of activities and conditions of the competition; competitive intelligence in general.
  • Preparation of commercial proposals and negotiation of terms.
  • Resolution of incidents within the sales process.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other functions within Viatris: Marketing, Sales, Digital, Comex, as well as the Medical Department and Customer Service.
  • Be a role model in compliance and Viatris policies.

Knowledge and Professional Experience:

For this position, we are looking for a candidate with an adequate combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

  • Minimum Education: University Degree. Any training related to health sciences (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology) is highly valued.
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in sales in the hospital channel. Applications with experience in Pharmacies will not be considered.
  • Intermediate level of English required.
  • Good communication skills, direct negotiation skills with clients, and ease of interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and motivation for commercial challenges.
  • Knowledge of Office package, Power BI, CRM (Veeva).
  • Dynamic, constant, responsible person with the ability to work in a team.
  • Driver's license.
  • Essential residence in Barcelona.
  • Availability to travel (70%).
