Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Software Engineer in Getafe (Madrid) to join the Software Mission Systems Team within a Stream‑Aligned product team. The role involves R&D and core product work to advance mission system capabilities using next‑generation technologies.

You will design and implement high‑performance C++ software on Linux, develop DDS interfaces, and build Qt-based GUIs while delivering features end-to-end.

Formación

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 5 years in software development, specifically in high‑performance applications.
• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (STL, OO design) and Linux.
• Experience with Qt framework and DDS is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, write, and maintain C++ code on Linux platforms.
• Implement DDS data interfaces and network architectures.
• Develop GUIs using the Qt framework.
• Deliver end-to-end customer‑facing features using trunk-based development.
• Apply Test Driven Development including unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Create technical documentation including software architectures, API contracts, and DDS data models.
