DFDS is seeking a Health, Safety & Security Manager to oversee land-based HSS activities across Spain and Morocco. You will work with local leadership, manage safety programs, and liaise with the Global HSS Team to translate global strategies into practical actions that protect people and assets.

You will drive risk assessments, audits and training, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, while traveling across Spain and Morocco to align shore and ship operations.

Formación

• Minimum 3–5 years in Health, Safety & Security roles.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish occupational health and safety legislation.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Experience in port operations, maritime environments, logistics or warehousing is a plus.
• Experience with audits, compliance management and incident investigations.
• Stakeholder management in complex operational environments.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the HSS strategy across Spain and Morocco.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture at all locations.
• Act as the primary advisor to local management on HSS matters.
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date risk register.
• Monitor legal and regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
• Perform audits, inspections and workplace assessments.
• Manage corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver HSS training programmes.
• Raise awareness through campaigns, workshops and engagement activities.
• Support incident investigations and communicate lessons learned.
• Manage incidents, observations and actions through safety management systems.
• Maintain HSS procedures and documentation.
• Support reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Collaborate with DPA and Marine Standards.
• Build relationships with managers, employees, contractors and authorities.
• Travel regularly across Spain and Morocco.
