Position

TheHealth Insurance Product Associaterole plays an essential role in support to the Product Manager in providing product expertise, guidance, and product-related decisions to management/business partners and scoping, analyzing and prioritizing each issue by working with IT/Systems, Legal, Medical, Marketing and Operations to understand the issues and root causes.

The Health Insurance Product Associatesupports the Product Manager in designing, enhancing, and launching health insurance products that align with our mission to provide accessible, customer-centric healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, analytical, and passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through innovative insurance products.

As our Health Insurance Product Associate you will be helping in the following areas:

Data Management

  • Maintain and update the Product Catalogue database, including creating new product entries and updating existing ones with corrections, improvements, and new benefits.
  • Manage the policy literature library to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Wording and Underwriting Support:

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing policy literature, including policy terms and underwriting questionnaires, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Support the Product Manager in obtaining sign-offs for policy terms and questionnaires for insurers and distributors.
  • Respond to client inquiries on technical product details, eligibility, medical underwriting, and group subscription rules.

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on medical, legal, and industry trends, including novel therapies, to assess the financial and medical viability of the Further Group’s products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Technology, Legal, Medical, Marketing, and Operations teams to scope, analyze, and prioritize product-related issues and system implementations affecting the Product Catalogue.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, processes, and updates to support compliance and team workflows.
  • Assist the Legal Department in responding to customer complaints, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

Claims Support:

  • Work with the Medical and Claims teams to adjudicate claims, confirm coverage for services or medical procedures, and resolve claim-related inquiries.

Training:

  • Deliver training programs to new employees and the Sales team on new or updated products to ensure successful market launches.

We'd love to meet someone who:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Experience: Up to 1-2 years’ experience in the insurance industry (preferably in health, life, or critical illness insurance) or relevant internships. Knowledge of other personal protection products, medical services and wellbeing services is a plus.
  • Basic familiarity with insurance policy wordings, insurance contracts, and reinsurance agreements.
  • Native or fully bilingual proficiency in English (C2 level or equivalent) is required, alongside fluency in Spanish, to ensure flawless communication in a global business environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to facilitate cross-departmental discussions and provide sign-offs on policy literature.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and international teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to learn and grow in the area of insurance product design.
  • Passion for developing a career in the healthcare and insurance field.
