Formación

Ensuring compliance with global standards of health, safety, and well-being for WERFEN companies in Spain and Portugal, where safety and wellbeing are prioritized.

Implementing risk management focused on health and psychosocial factors, always placing employee well-being at the forefront.

Always complying with legal, regulatory, and occupational prevention requirements of WERFEN, prioritizing support and protection for all workers.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Ensure safe workplaces and processes by integrating current regulations into working areas and business activities, providing support to the HS Manager.
  2. Implement programs to foster behavioral culture change, health & safety, wellbeing strategies, and corporate guidelines.
  3. Implement and maintain an HS management system such as ISO 45001, promoting worker health according to Werfen's policies, and conducting internal and legal audits.
  4. Provide expert advice on health and safety issues to all stakeholders, especially within your specific area of responsibility.
  5. Review and implement Werfen's HS policies to ensure compliance with local and Portuguese legislative requirements; provide relevant training and information to employees based on their risk exposure.
  6. Measure key issues contributing to achieving desired results, managing performance through leading and lagging indicators in health, safety, and wellbeing.
  7. Implement risk prevention measures and specific training plans, ensuring their completion.
  8. Investigate injury and illness cases, evaluate preventive measures, and incident investigation procedures. Monitor and report absenteeism and workplace accidents, propose improvements, and track their implementation.
  9. Prepare proposals and conduct cost analyses for corrective actions arising from incidents in health and safety.

Networking / Key relationships

This role requires collaboration with all organizational stakeholders and clients. External Prevention Services (SPA) and mutual insurance providers are also involved at various levels to establish, maintain, and improve occupational health and safety compliance across the organization.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required

  • University Degree or Bachelor's in Prevention and Integral Safety and Security or upper cycle of Occupational Risk Prevention.
  • Additional Knowledge:
  • ISO 45001 standards.
  • Occupational Risk Prevention Audits and System courses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Copilot, and GSST (Sabentis) software.
  • Management of CAE documentation across different market platforms.
  • Languages: Spanish, Catalan, and English; Portuguese is valuable.
  • Experience:
  • Extensive experience in health and safety, especially within hospital or SPA sectors as a Technician in Labour Risk Prevention.
