At StreamPayments, we’re seeking a Head of Technology to lead the development of new fintech products and emerging payment infrastructure. This is a high-impact role for a technical leader with deep experience in global payments, who also thrives at the intersection of open banking, blockchain, and API-first product design.

You’ll support and scale our current payments stack while building the next generation of financial tools, from stablecoin on-ramps to modular, merchant-facing software.

With StreamPayments, you’ll be part of a dynamic company revolutionizing the payments landscape by offering innovative, tailored solutions to businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive the technical vision, architect and develop the frontend and backend of new payments-facing products (e.g., open banking, stablecoin, AI interfaces, compliance tooling).
2. Make key decisions on tech stack, architecture, and infrastructure. You’ll have the autonomy to choose the best tools for the job.
3. Guide product strategy and technical architecture for blockchain, including integrations and on/off ramps.
4. Work with the tech team to maintain current payments infrastructure, including gateway connectivity and acquirer integrations.
5. Select and manage technical contributors (freelancers or full-time) as the roadmap expands.
6. Stay ahead of payment trends, regulatory changes, and technologies reshaping the fintech landscape.

Requirements:

1. Fluent English, both written and verbal.
2. Deep experience building fintech products, ideally involving payments, wallets, embedded finance, or merchant tooling.
3. Experience building secure applications in compliance with PCI standards and relevant financial regulations.
4. Strong knowledge of global payments architecture, gateways, acquiring networks, and transaction routing.
5. Frontend capability (or ability to specify/manage it) for responsive, merchant-facing UI.
6. Experience with payment systems, gateways, or infrastructure-level integrations.
7. Excellent technical leadership, with the ability to translate vision into execution across cross-functional teams.
8. Experience leading dispersed technology teams across multiple time zones.
