A leading technological company seeks a Head of Software Quality Assurance to lead QA teams and define processes for cloud-native software products. This role involves managing significant quality initiatives to ensure the integrity of the company's Data&AI pipeline.
Our client, a Technological Company, is searching for a full-time Head of Software Quality Assurance. Working in the Ground Systems department, and reporting to the SVP of Data&AI, the Head of Software Quality Assurance (QA) will lead software QA over the company engineering departments, ultimately ensuring the quality of all software products and broader cloud platform software infrastructure in the company Data&AI pipeline. About the Role
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in software QA for cloud software infrastructure and products, leading QA teams, and defining and implementing QA processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, quality assurance methodologies, cloud QA technologies and international software standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Software Quality Assurance (QA) team. Support the recruitment and lead the development of the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth. Lead the development of company’s software QA strategy and its implementation over the Company Data&AI pipeline and in the development and delivery of Company products. Lead all aspects of software QA, including planning and execution, and risk assessments and mitigation. Represent software QA and the software QA team in company governance bodies. Define, implement, and maintain the software QA processes and procedures, compatible with the Cloud Platform and Data services and technologies serving as the basis for the Company platform, and with supporting technologies. Ensure rigorous testing of cloud-native software products and applications, including functional, performance, unity, and regression testing. Establish and monitor key software quality metrics, providing reports on QA activities and outcomes, and ensure timely remediation of quality deficiencies. Support the automation of QA processes in the DevOps cycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering. 10+ years of experience in software QA and its implementation for cloud-native products and platforms. Deep knowledge of cloud services and technologies, with experience in cloud platform and the software product development lifecycles. Strong people management skills, with experience in building and leading teams. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience working with diverse international teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English.
Required Skills
5+ years experience in a team leadership role. Experience running QA processes for imagery or GIS software products, and over data and AI pipelines, including DevOps and MLOps processes. Experience with the Big Data technology stacks. Relevant certifications in QA and cloud technologies. Masters & other higher-level education. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in Spanish. International work experience.
